What is Marma Therapy?
Marma is a word from the ancient Indian language of Sanskrit, meaning "hidden" or "secret" and also "sensitive" and "vulnerable". A Marma point is an anatomical area where body tissue, veins, arteries, tendons, bones and joints meet. There are 108 Marma points in the body. Each point has its own intelligence and awareness, just as the meridians in acupuncture do, corresponding to organs and internal bodily systems which react to manual stimulation using the fingers.
