Altas Quintas`s wines have received numerous awards in the competitions of the specialty.
The project was born by the hands of producer João Lourenço, who has been established in Alentejo since the 90s.
He began his activity as a producer at Herdade do Perdigão, in Monforte, Adega in Portalegre, always aiming to acquire a property in Serra de São Mamede, which was considered by the producer to have great potential, acquiring in 2004 Quinta da Queijeirinha, where the Altas Quintas project began.
The recognition for the work developed came in 2006 with the ""Revelation Producer of the Year"" award, awarded by Revista de Vinhos.
In 2017 the project will be developed at Herdade Porto da Bouga, where wines of excellence continue to be produced and where new, even more demanding challenges ""rest"" in this winery in Portalegre.
