One feels the passion in every corner. The Herdade do Arrepiado Velho was purchased in 2001 by the Antunes Family who right then began to plant the 33 ha of vineyards. With a total area of around 100 hectares, the dam stands out in the middle of the vineyards and olive trees in a blend of colours and quiet that only the Alentejo can offer. The combination of these characteristics makes Herdade do Arrepiado Velho to be part of the São Mamede Route.
Nuno Ramalho (in charge of winemaking) and enologist António Maçanita are in charge of the vineyards and vinification, with the supervision of the owner António Antunes who leads the project formed by a young and dynamic team. One of the strengths of the company beyond the great quality of its wines is the singularity of its products, an elegant and distinctive design, awarded all over the world.
This labels are made by the wife of Antonio Antunes, Marta Neto, Designer and responsible for the company's image and the recent rural tourism project. The winery is equipped with the most advanced technology available and properly sized for the current production of unique and seductive wines, born from modern oenology but combined in sublime form with tradition. "Requirement, accuracy and quality" are the keywords of this family project.
