In 2005, in the heart of the Douro Valley, between terraces full of vines and fruit trees, the top award-winning wine tourism project in Portugal was born – Quinta Nova – with a total area of 120 hectares, it is now a reference to all who wish to be engulfed by the true spirit of the region.
The Quinta Nova Winery House invites all guests to enjoy a truly immersive experience in the Douro Wine Region. Once an emblematic building from the 18th century, this winery house was reconverted through the renovation of the manor house of the estate. It boasts 11 comfortable suites, where guests are welcome on a daily basis, and a memorable stay is guaranteed.
The several social areas invite you to escape your daily routine. From the rustic living rooms, to our lounge-like porches with a view of the Douro River, from the inviting pool overlooking the vineyards, to the Chapel of Our Lady of Carmo, which all make up a picturesque backdrop, you are free to explore many contrasting spaces in a welcoming environment, where you can feel the tranquility of your surroundings.
Throughout the year, between May and September, the terrace is the most sought-after spot due to the beautiful scenery the valley offers us. But when colder winds settle around the hills, our guests may take refuge inside, drawing comfort from the several roaring fireplaces.
Our Winery House is the home to Conceitus, a signature cuisine restaurant where you will be able to experience unique delicacies prepared daily by our Chef.
