Casa Ferreirinha is one of these brands specialised in producing top quality Douro DOC wines. This brand, in its very name, pays direct tribute to Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira. A singular figure in the development of the Douro Vinhateiro in the nineteenth century, her intelligence and kindness won the admiration of her Douro contemporaries, who affectionately called her "Ferreirinha”.

The past three decades have seen the Guedes family and Sogrape developing Herdade do Peso, a leading wine estate in Vidigueira, Alentejo, and putting into practice the wealth of knowledge they have gained in the process. Today, Herdade do Peso is one of Sogrape's brands. It has an excellent reputation and ambitions to reveal the best the Alentejo has to offer to the world. With its 160 hectares of vineyards, Herdade do Peso represents 10% of the total area owned by Sogrape in Portugal, Spain, Chile, Argentina and New Zealand.

Quinta dos Carvalhais is situated in Mangualde, near Nelas and Alcafache, and embodies everything that makes Dão truly special — the soil, the climate, the experience of those who have been making wine for generations, and the passion we infuse into everything we do.
